Opening your eyes, you find yourself in an unfamiliar room. It is mostly empty, except for a table, a few shelves and a torch, although you can see some of your belongings scattered around. You try to remember how you got here, but your mind is hazy. You look around the room a bit, or maybe leave right away, but as you step outside you see a tunnel, lit by more torches that seem to give of a cool light instead of heat. Something seems to draw you in a specific direction, and as you follow it you end up in a large cave, with various pens and cages filled with animals along the walls. It looks like they are meant to be for eating, and despite the many animals that are trapped in this room, it seems to be completely silent as you wait there. Over time other dragons start to wander in as well. It might be a good idea to speak to them, maybe they know where you are?

Groaning, Calcite lifted his head. Where.. Am I? He wondered. While it was not uncommon for him to randomly pass out and find himself in a strange location, the young Skywing was quite sure he had never been here before. He remained where he was for several minutes as his muscles ached. Just what was I doing yesterday..? No matter how much he tried, Calcite couldn't remember. Last thing he knew, he was working on one of his steam-powered machines, when he suddenly felt dizzy. Trying to remember anything after that was like flying through fog, and it just made his head hurt more.
He huffed, breathing out a flume of smoke, before getting up. Making sure he still had his goggles and scarf, Calcite decided to see where exactly he ended up. The cold stone suggested it was underground, and while he did see quite a few tools similar to his own lying around, the room itself didn't look like a Skywing made it. Narrowing his eyes, he poked at one of the shelves hanging on the walls. Wood. Definitely not made by Skywings, or it would've burned away long ago. He shook his head, thinking it probably wasn't very important. Maybe he wandered outside in his sleep again, and someone found him and decided to bring him somewhere safe. It had happened before. Several times actually.
Stretching out his wings, he decided to go look for whoever lived here, and thank them. But as he opened the door, he felt something strange, as if someone was telling him to go somewhere. He shook his head, looking around. It seemed he was in a tunnel, with several more wooden doors in the wall which probably lead to other rooms. As he tried to open it, he noticed it was locked. Strange... Why would you lock someone in your own home? He wondered, before shrugging. Maybe they just didn't want him to look through their stuff. Calcite was okay with that, so he ignored the other doors as he went down the hall, not noticing the various names carved into the wood. As he reached the end of the tunnel, he entered a rather large cave, which was mostly empty, although there were several other tunnels carved into the stone. One of them seemed to draw his attention however, and when he followed it he found another cave, slightly smaller than the previous one, but still huge.
Calcite could see cages near the walls, most of which filled with prey animals. He guessed this is where they stored their food, and turned around to leave, but something inside his brain told him not to. Frowning, he paused, then decided to go look at the animals instead. Whoever lived here probably wouldn't appreciate him exploring their caves, so Calcite thought it was a better idea to just wait there instead.

Resurrection & Dreamlight | Dining hall
"Wh- I-" Their words stuttered as the room spun before them. Standing up instantly was seemingly a bad idea. "Where- I don't remember- where are we?" The words echoed in the empty cavern, and the NightWing frowned, wary annoyance rippling over them. It was empty here, it seemed. A few animals- cows, mostly. And other than their voice, it was eerily silent.
"There- Res!" A voice from behind them, and a wave of relief- not theirs- washed over them. Turning, they breathed a sigh as a NightWing-IceWing rushed towards them, concern now mixed with her relief. "Are- do you know where we are- are you okay- I-" She cut herself off.
A small smile from Resurrection. "I'm fine." This, while not inherently a lie, was also not fully the truth- their head still hurt like all hell, and they wanted to know where they were. But that could be figured out at a later time. Right now, best to just be happy they weren't dead, and probably weren't captured by some malevolent force.
And then Res saw the SkyWing, standing by a cage. Were- did they capture us? "SkyWing! Who are you?" Resurrection asked, projecting their voice. The SkyWing, from what their emotions read, seemed to be just as confused as they were by this whole thing, but of course, that could be a lie, a mask put on by the dragon.

Manta woke up with a headache. She looked around, confused by the grey stone and dry air, before a flicker of memory returned. She was had traveled to the Night Kingdom, the other tribes slept like this. Reassured, she began to brush The sleep from her eyes, before looking around.
No. This was not the home of the elderly couple that had taken her in. The walls were bare of hangings and too smooth, not formed of the stone bricks that the Nightwings had used.
Where was she, then? It looked like a cave, but that didn't tell her much. Had she been kidnapped, then? Manta had been sure not to tell anyone she was royalty, and her name was unlikely to be well known.
Why would anyone kidnap her then? There was no other explanation she could think of, which admittedly didn't rule out much. Maybe they just didn't like Seawings, but her bed was too comfortable for that to be the case.
At last, the Seawing decided she'd get no answers in this room. She walked down the stone hallway, which seemed very much like the best path, ignored the various doors, and eventially reached an unnervingly quiet room. Various animals stacked in cages lined the walls, and a Skywing close to her age was standing there, looking as confused as she. Not wanting to break the silence, she flashed a greeting with her stripes.

The dragon opened his eyes blearily, blinking hard to clear his cloudy vision as his tail whipped around and his claw went to his side to clutch a phantom weapon. His brain his registered the strangeness of the situation, the odd feeling of the place, before he had fully registered his surroundings. His ears flicked forward as he mumbled a curse under his breath.
He pulled himself to his feet, straining with effort, trying to get his face covered by his cloak just in case someone was watching. Just too often had someone tried to strangle him in his sleep? Nemesis looked down at their talons, mostly covered by the bloody bandages he had put on there last. Verifying that he was alone with a quick glance around the cold stone place, he gingerly touched the black eye on the side of his face. Not from a kidnapper, from a barkeep who had insisted upon a fistfight a couple nights ago. Since then he had been hiding in an abandoned scavenger den, licking his wounds. And now, he was here.
The dragon flicked his wings to the side-he noticed that now, they were a dark grey color, a NightWing, but of course, that was changeable. For now, he would have to explore. His room, guarded by a heavy wooden door with his name carved in it seemed to lead into a larger hallway. and, holding his cloak close to his face and body, he started down the passage, gently surveying the surrounding rock. The other doors had names like his, but he took particular notice of the open ones. Calcite, Dreamlight, Manta, and Ressurection were all ajar, hinting at the possibility of others in the same situation. Interesting.
As he continued down the hall, he could hear a voice echoing around the stone as he reached a central chamber. Nemesis couldn’t see very well in the dimly lit caves, but he could tell which cave it came from. Oddly enough, the light produced felt cold, rather than warm. He felt an odd pull in the direction of the voice, and he decided to give in to it, broken claws clicking against the stone floor. Instead of charging in, Nemesis folded himself against the wall, next to the door of the room, ears flicking for talking. It was a bit shocking, he had noticed, if your possibly dead nemesis just walked into a room. Not that he had often heeded that knowledge. Perhaps, he thought sardonically, he liked to get punched.

Gila woke up instantly wide awake. She was good at that. Pushing herself up with her front talons, she looked around at her new surroundings. What stupid dragon put a roof up here I can't fly if there's no roof I have to DRAG MYSELF I want to rip the legs of the dragon who put the roof here I HATE them Perhaps there would be no roof outside the room. She dragged herself out of the room, and to her dismay, she saw that she was in a tunnel of rock. She growled, smoke coming out of her nose, and continued to drag herself through the hallway. As she neared the end of the tunnel, she heard someone - maybe a nightwing? The accent sounded different - say "Skywing? Who are you?" Gila frowned. Why would a skywing be in these caves? As far as Gila knew, Skywings preferred to be out under the open sky - why they were called Skywings. She finally dragged herself into the room, and saw that she had been right. A Skywing, two Nightwings and a Seawing were in the room together, along with lots of prey in cages along the walls. Gila hissed threateningly at the other dragons, and made sure her venemous tail was easily visible. If any dragon thought she'd be a good target because of her missing back legs, (Stupid Icewings I HATE Icewings) they would die a painful death. word count: 238 (Not sure if I need a word count but idc)

Looking through the bars of one of the cages, Calcite could see a mountain goat. He tilted his head, then poked the goat with one talons. It lifted it's head, looking somewhat annoyed, but didn't seem frightened. With a huff Calcite pulled his talon back, not sure if there was something wrong with the goat, or that Calcite really was not that scary. Even when he bared his teeth at it, the goat didn't look impressed. It just blinked at him, then continued eating the dried grass someone had put in it's cage. Frowning, Calcite was about to go look at the other animals, when he heard voices behind him. Lifting his head, he heard one of them call out, likely speaking to him. "SkyWing! Who are you?"
"Oh, um.." He quickly turned around, trying not to look too threatening or mentally unstable. Two Nightwings stood there, looking at him, so he assumed one of them was the one that spoke. "I'm uh, Vaterite." He said, glancing around. Another dragon, a Seawing this time, entered the cave as well, and he waved at them. Calcite had no idea who any of them were, so he didn't think he should use his real name. There was a very small chance they knew him, and Calcite didn't really feel like escaping from dragons that wanted him to create weapons, or tried to kidnap him to get to the queen again. "Sorry if I crashed into your home or something," He chuckled, "I sometimes fall asleep while I'm flying."
As he looked at the dragons, he noticed they were all younger than him, and looked a bit confused as well. Maybe they're just wondering what I'm doing in their caves or something..? The Skywing wasn't even sure if he had been flying, or walked here. Maybe he got here by himself late at night and allowed to rest, and he just couldn't remember? He did remember seeing dark clouds near his home earlier, so there might have been a storm he got stuck in. It was strange to see two Nightwings and a Seawing in the Sky Kingdom though..
"May I ask what your names are?" He hummed, tilting his head slightly, lifting his goggles up to rest on his forehead, instead of over his eyes. The red lenses had spooked people before, especially if they weren't expecting him to wear goggles. They were standing far enough from him that he didn't think his eyes would be too noticeable either.
(Nah, word counts aren't required, so you can decide if you want to keep them in uwu)

As Manta watched, more dragons had entered the cave. The Skywing had ignored her greeting, but maybe he hadn't seen it. The light didn't seem to fill the air like it did underwater.
At last, someone spoke. The Skywing again. His words were confusing; why would he have crashed into any of their houses? Or was he talking to someone specific? It hadn't looked like it.
"I'm Manta" She responded to his later question. "Do you know where we are?" Hopefully his response would make more sense than what he'd said before.
At least she wasn't the only one confused. The Nightwing with those beautiful wing-scales had seemed perplexed as well. Had they all been kidnapped?

"Nice to meet you, Manta." Calcite faintly smiled at her, before frowning. "You.. don't know? Huh. I thought you guys lived here or something..?" After saying that he noticed a Sandwing had entered the room as well, mostly due to her hiss. He was about to greet her, when he noticed their rather.. unfriendly expression, and the raised tail. "Well, guessing from all the other dragons, I didn't think we'd be in the Sky Kingdom, but who knows." He shrugged, "I'm sure we can ask someone outside."
As he spoke, another Sandwing entered the cave, this one darker and smaller than the one who was already there. Xe noticed this right away, when xe tripped over Gila. "Ah s-sorry!" Xe stumbled, quickly getting up. "I hope I didn't hurt you!" Turning around to check on her, Pyre frowned, "Um.." Where are your legs..? "H-hi! Sorry again um.." Xe glanced around, noticing the other dragons in the cave. Oh stars they're probably all watching me. "What uh.." Xe quickly stopped xyrself, realizing she probably didn't want to talk about her legs. Why would you even ask that that's rude Pyre glanced around, getting more nervous, "Do you maybe know how I got here..?"
Last thing xe remembered was purchasing some dried fish for lunch and walking home before xe suddenly passed out and woke up here. Was there something wrong with the fish? Am I allergic??

Gila A dragon stepped on Gila's tail. She whirled angrily, about to stab the dragon with her tail, when she realized it was a sandwing. She stopped herself before she hurt the dragon, but kept her tail raised to make sure the dragon knew she wouldn't hesitate to stab them if necessary. "Ah, s-sorry! I hope I didn't hurt you!"[/i' Gila hissed at the dirt-colored sandwing. The dragon suddenly frowned, clearly staring at Gila's lack of back legs. She bristled hate hate when dragons stare wish THEY get their leg ripped off then see how it feels "Um... h-hi! Sorry again um... what uh... do you maybe know how I got here...?" Gila paused. That was a good question. She strained her memory. The last thing she could remember was flying out of the scorpion den to go hunting.
Mayfly Mayfly groaned. She'd been having such a wonderful dream. The chill of the stone floor had woken her. Wait. stone floor? Why was I sleeping on such an uncomfortable surface? She felt a trickle of dread. And where is my sib? At that thought, she jolted awake. Where am I? She was in a room that was so different from the comfortable swamps she was used to. Turning a circle, she saw that the room was mostly empty, and there was only one way out. She stepped out of the room into a tunnel. She padded along the tunnel, hoping she chose the direction that would lead her to the surface. As she walked, she started to hear dragon voices. Maybe they'll know how I got here! Maybe that's my sib! She ran into the cave, and stopped dead. These dragons were certainly not her sib. She froze, unsure of what these strange dragons would do.

Nemesis waited, and listened, a bored patience infusing his body with the heavy lead of many hours practiced like this. His muscles were coiled like an angry serpent, face flat and waiting. Half of the dragons in the room sounded angry, but confusion ran high, he could tell. He tried to gauge reaction. If someone burnt off his face (again), he was going to be, in short, very, very annoyed. He investigated the rock near his face- smooth, grey stone. These were naturally formed caves, the trauma of being blasted into creation not marring the throats of the caves. He felt utterly unprepared, naked, without his knife. A dagger, three quarters the size of his skinny forearm, that was very helpful when he needed to slide it between scales as their bearer attacked. He had no protection here other than his wit and possibly a bit of surprise. The violent path was one he often walked. Eliminating enemies before they were foes was often easier than going through the steps of a conversation he had retread hundreds of times. But-
He folded himself into the convenient shadows as two dragons barreled past him, not noticing (or caring) about his presence. Nemesis noticed one was a SandWing, the other a MudWing who didn’t speak a word. The hybrid quashed his internal morality. Perhaps it would be best to sneak up behind her, he thought, creeping an eye around the corner to her exposed back. He had no knife, though, to get under her tough scales, and little protection if she was too strong. One thing, he had noticed, was that damage was across all forms. They could all see a black eye and broken claws and a tired look. They could see a weakness that he could do little about. Finally, he decided that it was not worth the struggle to murder everyone, sighing. Nemesis wondered how they even got in these caves. They were closed off-not simply the problem of how they got there, but also the issue of breath. Was there internal air flow? He decided to risk a peek into the room for a split second, talons clicking slightly against the rock-louder than he meant to.

Hearing the sudden clack of claws, Manta turned around. She caught a glimpse of green-blue scales. One of her cousins, Azure, had scales of that color, and the size was about the same as well. Was it her? A wave of nervousness washed over her at the thought of her cruelest relative having joined her. 𝘈𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘈𝘻𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘺 𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘮𝘦, 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨-𝘭𝘦𝘨𝘨𝘦𝘥 𝘚𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘪𝘤𝘬 𝘰𝘯. Manta thought, before immediately feeling guilty. With all the strangness going on already, it didn't occur to the Seawing to wonder why her cousin was hiding at all.
(For clarity's sake: Manta has spotted Nemesis, but as she doesn't have any real enemies, she sees him as her mean cousin)
